Greetings to you!
I am Chris Durning, the owner, trainer & breeder of Emanuel Homestead Goldens. I am delighted to be living among the scenic countryside in Woodstock, CT (Northeast, CT) on our Homestead where I have raised AKC Registered Golden Retriever Pups for the past 30 years & raised my wonderful family, too.

Our five children are as follows: Jennifer (36); Julie (34); Andrew & Matthew (32) and adopted daughter from India: Hannah Eileen (21). We have been blessed with 10 Grandchildren – so far!!!: Kaylla (13); Kaylin (12); Emily (11); Sean (11); Korrin (10); Jessica Haley (Passed Away – Dec. 2000); Justin (8); Eric (6); Ashley (6); Stephen (4); & Evey Rose (2). Jennifer & her family live nearby in Woodstock; Julie & her family also live in Woodstock; Matthew & his family are not far, in Putnam; Andrew is our U.S. Marine - he & his wife, April, & Evey (2) are stationed in NC –Andrew is now a C-130 pilot [Former CH-46 Helicopter Pilot] & has completed 2 deployments to The Middle East Region. Hannah lives in Woodstock, also!!!!!

We build conventional homes, barns, garages, & additions along with general renovation work.
In addition, we offer custom designed & built fencing & pole buildings for private & commercial use, horse riding rings, livestock protection & kennel areas, as well as, pool fencing.
All of our kids are on their own but they are still close & 2 of them are involved in our businesses. One of our sons, Matthew, is a partner with us in our building & fabrication businesses through Woodstock Valley Enterprises, LLC. Our eldest daughter, Jennifer, owns & operates her own business, Multi-Pillar Marketing, LLC (multipillarmarketing.com) & assists us with all our computer needs, including the design & management our web sites. Jennifer also provides computer services for several other businesses & welcomes inquiries!! My wonderful grandchildren are all interested & involved with helping me & playing with all my Emanuel Homestead Goldens - adults & pups adding to the special TLC that ensures positive 'socialization' & darling personalities!!!
